Football Queensland have announced they will commence their Future of Football 2020+ Club Summits, from this Saturday.
FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci will host the first event in Cairns, before travelling to Townsville the following day.
“The launch of our Future of Football 2020+ Club Summits and focus groups is a significant step in the consultation process,” Cavallucci said.
“This weekend we will meet with key members of the football community including administrators, volunteers and participants, in addition to tailored consultation sessions with specific groups such as referees, coaches and Technical Directors, with each stakeholder group given the opportunity to have their say on key areas of our game.
“It is vital that our members across both regional and South East Queensland have the opportunity to play a role in shaping the future direction of the game by engaging in this ongoing consultation process, so we encourage the football community in Cairns and Townsville to join us this weekend as we kick off our Club Summits.”
FQ North General Manager Declan Carnes encouraged the state’s football community to get involved in the discussion.
“We’re looking forward to again welcoming Football Queensland to the region for the upcoming Club Summit events in Cairns and Townsville,” he said.
“We are hopeful that the local football community will take advantage of this unique opportunity to help shape the future of our game by registering to attend one of the sessions scheduled across Cairns and Townsville.
“There are limited spots available for each session, so we encourage our members to register your attendance to have your say on the future of football.”
