Lina Souloukou is now AS Roma’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & General Manager of the Club, where she has already begun her tenure.
Souloukou’s career in the game has spanned 15 years, and has arrived after studying Law with a sports specialty, and got her off to the right start on her journey.
She was previously the CEO of Olympiacos FC, a role she held between 2018 and 2022.
“Lina is an experienced, respected and trusted leader in both football and business and we are delighted to welcome her into the AS Roma family,” AS Roma club owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin said via press release.
“We will work closely with her to continue building the Club to the highest level, deserving of both the Giallorossi fans and the City.”
Speaking about the appointment, Souloukou added in a statement:
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Friedkin family for giving me this opportunity: I have had the chance to appreciate and understand the spirit and ambition that inspire the ownership and I am honoured to have the possibility of sharing in the challenges that await AS Roma,”, she said.
“I’m excited to join this historical club and I’m looking forward to making available to the club, its managers, and all the employees, the experience I have gained in the international football world.”
Souloukou replaced AS Roma’s last CEO in Pietro Berardi, who was hastily moved on with a contract termination due to a financial investigation.
