Football Queensland have announced Andy Allan will fill the Region General Manager position at the organisation.
Allan’s appointment will support the growth of the game across the Wide Bay and Central Queensland regions.
The governing body has continued to increase its investment in the two regions, in recent times.
“We’re excited to welcome Andy Allan as Region General Manager for Wide Bay and Central Queensland as we work to grow the game across the state,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Andy brings valuable experience to the role, having previously worked at Football Queensland and more recently as Football Federation Australia’s National Junior Participation Manager.
“As Region General Manager for Wide Bay and Central Queensland, Andy will focus on improving local service delivery, growing participation numbers, increasing opportunities for women and girls and strengthening local clubs, competitions and pathways.
“The additional investment of a senior resource in the two regions will be vital in supporting the growth of the game as we work towards achieving the strategic targets outlined in the Strategic Plan for Football in Queensland.
“We’re confident that Andy will deliver fantastic outcomes for Queensland football, and we look forward to welcoming him on board,” Cavallucci concluded.
Allan will begin his tenure at the start of October.
