Football Queensland has released a Sponsorship Guide to assist the state’s clubs in attracting and retaining long-term sponsors.
Available via the Club Support Hub, the guide is the latest in a suite of resources produced by FQ to enhance the level of support for clubs at all levels of the game.
Sponsors are instrumental in helping to reduce the direct cost to players and the members running a club. Clubs should seek to maximise the benefit to their sponsors and build a solid ongoing relationship, which in turn will encourage the sponsor to return year after year.
Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci outlined the importance of the Sponsorship Guide for the state’s clubs.
“Football Queensland is committed to providing our clubs across the state with high-quality resources to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver the best possible participation experiences to their members,” he said.
“In line with this, the newly-launched Sponsorship Guide has been designed to help clubs understand the ways in which they can create commercial value for businesses in their local community.
“The guide reinforces the importance of building mutually beneficial relationships between clubs and businesses while outlining how clubs can attract, promote and retain sponsors who become part of their club community.
“In addition to the Sponsorship Guide, we have developed a range of sponsorship templates for clubs to use such as sponsorship proposals, agreements and introductory letters among others.
“We’re looking forward to supporting clubs on their sponsorship journey and believe the Sponsorship Guide will provide club volunteers across Queensland with the knowledge and resources they need to build strong, long-term relationships with sponsors.”
