Ford Australia joins Newcastle Jets as major partner for 2026/27

The Newcastle Jets have secured Ford Australia as a major partner for the 2026/27 season. This brings one of the country’s most established automotive brands onto the club’s A-League Men’s playing shirts.

Announced on 16 October, the partnership will see Ford Australia feature on the sleeve of the Jets’ men’s jerseys throughout the season.

The agreement connects Ford with a club that has a strong identity in the Hunter region. In addition, it provides a platform to engage with local supporters, families and the wider community through football.

Ford Australia Marketing Director Ambrose Henderson said the partnership would help the company connect with Jets fans across the region.

“Sport brings people together, and the Jets are an important part of the Hunter region,” Henderson said. “We’re looking forward to sharing that connection with the club’s fans and families – and helping them make the most of every journey, from match day to weekend adventures.”

For the Jets, the deal adds another major brand to their commercial portfolio as the club enters the 2026/27 campaign. Executive Chairman Maurice Bisetto welcomed Ford’s involvement.

“It is fantastic to have a partner on jump on board with enormous calibre such as Ford Australia,” Bisetto said.

The partnership also provides Ford with a connection to a growing football audience following a hugely successful 2025/26 season through a club whose reach extends beyond matchday, creating opportunities to engage with supporters through the season.

Financial terms and the duration of the agreement beyond the 2026/27 season were not disclosed.

South Melbourne signs New Balance teamwear deal after Australia Cup triumph

South Melbourne FC has secured a two-season teamwear partnership with New Balance and Australian elite teamwear partner Belgravia Apparel, strengthening the club’s commercial portfolio as their Australian Championship title defence begins.

The agreement will see New Balance supply high-performance apparel for South Melbourne’s players and staff, both on and off the field, beginning with the club’s Australian Championship campaign.

The deal follows South Melbourne’s historic Australia Cup triumph and comes as the club looks to build on its increased national profile while pursuing another title.

South Melbourne head of operations George Kouroumalis said the partnership reflected the club’s ambitions and offered an opportunity to strengthen its identity beyond matchdays.

‘We are incredibly proud to partner with Belgravia Apparel for the next two seasons. Having New Balance, an elite brand with strong global presence associated with South Melbourne, reflects the ambition of our club and the opportunities ahead,’ said Kouroumalis.

Belgravia Apparel CEO Brian Waldron said the company was pleased to bring its football experience to the partnership, pointing to its relationships with clubs across Australia and New Zealand.

For South Melbourne, the deal puts a globally recognised sportswear brand behind the club at a time when its Australia Cup win has brought it greater national attention.

The agreement also connects South Melbourne to a broader teamwear network. Belgravia Apparel and New Balance began their strategic alliance in 2020, supplying performance apparel to sporting organisations across the region.

The club said its new home kit would be launched the following week, giving supporters their first look at the partnership in action.
