Perth Glory confirm DrimTel as sponsor for ALM coaching staff

Perth Glory confirm that DrimTel will be both the major sponsor of the club and the A-Leagues Men’s Coaching Staff for the 2024/25 season.

This is truly a first of its kind with the coaching sponsorship highlighting the clubs decision to back new manager David Zdrillic as the club enters a new era.

The benefits exclusive to Zdrillic and his staff aren’t stated by Glory, but the telecommunications company will help the club financially and have their logo’s on staff, player training and match kits for season 2024/25.

DrimTel is an Australian-owned telecommunications provider that offers services like mobile SIM plans, NBN Internet, broadband, and phone systems at competitive prices.

The company, in addition to providing these excellent services. are also committed to social responsibility, donating 50% of their profits to JDRF Australia, a non-profit focused on Type 1 Diabetes.

Glory CEO Anthony Radich spoke about the congruent values in the partnership and why it will work long term.

“We are delighted to welcome DrimTel to the Glory family and hugely appreciate their support,” Radich stated in a club statement.

“In addition to establishing themselves as a leading force in the telecommunications service industry, they have a very strong sense of social responsibility and demonstrate that in practical terms via their remarkable commitment to JDRF Australia.

“In keeping with their reputation for innovation, DrimTel have broken new ground by becoming the club’s first ALM Coaching Staff sponsor, and we look forward to working with them to explore this exciting partnership in 2024/25 and beyond.”

Non-Executive Chairman and Founder at DrimTel, Ljupco Taneski expressed his excitement at the possibility of this collaboration for both parties.

“We are immensely proud of becoming a major sponsor of Perth Glory FC, including A-League Men’s Coaching Staff sponsor,” Taneski said in a statement.

“Perth Glory is a brand with international appeal, but it is also deeply engrained in Australian footballing circles.

“This partnership will be driven by our mutual dedication to excellence, going beyond branding to create unforgettable experiences for fans and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in both football and telecommunications.

“Together, we aim to inspire and empower the future, setting new standards and achieving remarkable milestones.”

Clearly both companies have a desire to better society with both parties having a history of providing funds to charitable organisations.

On top of the congruency in values, it presents as a brand new, interesting way to sponsor the coaching staff exclusively and it will be fascinating to see if opposition clubs follow suit before the commencement of the 2024/25 season.

Football South Australia renews partnership with Datacord as Community Football Commitment Deepens

Football South Australia has announced the renewal of its partnership with Datacord, continuing a relationship that has grown steadily since the South Australian print and document solutions provider first entered the football community as naming rights sponsor of the Collegiate Soccer League Division 1.

That initial agreement, which saw Datacord align with one of Adelaide’s most historic amateur competitions, marked the beginning of what has since developed into a broader commitment to South Australian football at every level. The renewed partnership extends Datacord’s involvement beyond the CSL and into the wider Football SA ecosystem, with clubs across the state now able to access exclusive offers and preferred pricing on photocopying, managed print services and tailored business solutions.

The practical value of that access should not be understated. Community football clubs operate on tight margins, relying heavily on volunteer administrators managing everything from registration paperwork to grant applications. Cost-effective print and document solutions reduce the operational burden on those volunteers, a small but meaningful contribution to the sustainability of clubs that form the backbone of the game in South Australia.

“George is a great supporter of sport in South Australia and we are delighted to have Datacord as a supporter of football,” said Football SA CEO Michael Carter. “Service is second to none and we highly recommend their services to the business community within the Football Family.”

For Datacord Managing Director George Koutsoubis, the renewal reflects a genuine investment in the community rather than a transactional commercial arrangement. “It is important to support the local community, and Football South Australia is the perfect place to start spreading the word about Datacord and what we do for the South Australian community,” he said. “We are locally owned and operated, and I think it is a great partnership to be part of.”
