
The Newcastle Jets have announced that Port of Newcastle have renewed their commitment as a Major Partner of the club for a second season, alongside the release of the Club’s 2022/23 home jersey.
Port of Newcastle will be displayed across the Newcastle Jets A-League Men’s Team gold home jersey for the 2022/23 season, as well as on the A-League Women’s Team home and away jerseys.
Newcastle Jets Executive Chairman Shane Mattiske acknowledged his delight to have retained Port of Newcastle as a major partner in a statement released by the Jets.
“The Club is very pleased to know that we have the continued support of a great sponsor and importantly an organisation that makes a strong contribution to this region here in Newcastle and throughout Northern NSW. We also appreciate the Port of Newcastle’s continued significant support of both Men’s and Women’s A-League teams.”
As the world’s largest coal exporting port, Port of Newcastle is a significant contributor to economic activity in Australia, as well as a vital economic gateway to the resource-rich Hunter Valley and the north and northwest of NSW.
As a major partner of the Newcastle Jets, Port of Newcastle demonstrates its commitment to sporting communities across Newcastle, the Hunter Region and Northern NSW and its ongoing support for one of only two professional sporting teams in this region.
Port of Newcastle CEO Craig Carmody reaffirmed his excitement to renew their partnership with the Jets as Major Sponsor.
“Port of Newcastle are proud to renew their partnership as Major Sponsor with the Newcastle Jets. Both the Port of Newcastle and Newcastle Jets are symbolic of the region and we’re looking forward to seeing this partnership grow even further,” he said via press release.
The Newcastle Jets begin their Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s campaign October 8 in an F3 Derby clash against the Central Coast Mariners.
