
Real Betis Balompié has announced an international competition for the redevelopment project of Estadio Benito Villamarin, where construction will commence in June 2024.
The board of administration of the institution has launched the time window of the required paperwork for any firm, entity technically authorised and like-minded individuals interested in participating in the competition, it is open at a national and international level, to execute a project of such a high magnitude.
The target of the design includes the new Preferencia Stand (West Stand) as well as the exterior and interior elements of the rest of the stands Gol Norte, Fondo and Gol Sur (North, East and South Stand) with upper covering to form the structure for all four stands.
A budget of $113 million AUD for the completion of the work in the stadium, executing an idea that is to be innovative and integrating a model developed by the club to complete a stadium that is active all year round, underlining the importance of a wide range of leisure and environment experiences, not only on gameday but also every other ordinary day.
A noteworthy role is to implement a role for new technologies, sustainability and inclusion.
This first step forward will be for one of the most paramount projects in the history of Real Betis, improving the Benito Villamarin Stadium to suit for the needs of football in the modern-times, making it a priority of the comfort and convenience for the fans.
The New Stadium project is one of the foundations in the Real Betis Strategic Plan 2022-2026, which the revenue will rise of the club in ticketing, hospitality, and new goods and services, on gameday and the rest of the year.
